Our walnut and maple end grain brick pattern cutting board would be a stunning and functional piece for your kitchen. An end grain cutting board is made from the ends of the wood fibers, providing several benefits. The end grain is gentler on knives, preserving their sharpness longer compared to edge-grain boards. All our cutting boards are sealed with food-grade mineral oil and two coats of bee’s wax; we will also send a complementary tin of our conditioner to get you started.

As always, wood is a natural product that grows and displays its grain with all its colours and imperfections. As hard as we try to make our products the best we can, Mother Nature has a mind of her own as to how she wants to be displayed. Therefore, variations in grain colour are to be expected.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Depending on how much you use the board, it will let you know when it needs to be re-conditioned. Proper maintenance of the board will keep it looking good and increase its life span and enjoyment from it.

1. After use, clean with soap and lukewarm water, pat dry, stand up on edge, and allow to dry.

2. After using it for some time, you will start to notice the colours start to appear dull. Clean as stated above and let dry and re-coat with the conditioner sent with your board. Apply with a soft, clean cloth, let sit for a few hours or overnight and wipe off excess oil with a clean, soft rag. Following these steps should bring your board back to the way it was when it first arrived.

3. Included in your purchase will be a tin of conditioner, along with an instruction care card repeating these instructions.
